Starting Friday, April 9, at 6:30 PM we will be screening Michael Schroeder's award winning indie "Man in the Chair" starring Christopher Plummer. Immediately following, the First Annual Frank Capra Award will be presented to that film by Frank Capra III.

At 8:30 PM also on Friday, we will have our opening night reception honoring our attending filmmakers. Family owned Village Pizza and Major Market are our hosts, and we will have plenty of special micro-brewery beers and other goodies on hand.  Meet producer/director Frank Capra III, Director Michael Schroeder and others. This will be a fun, informal party where local filmgoers can meet, greet and mingle with our festival filmmakers.



Next, on Sunday, April 11, at 4:00 PM, we will be screening "My One and Only". This excellent film starring Renee Zellweger and Kevin Bacon will be introduced by our special celebrity guest, George Hamilton, who produced the film which is based on his early life.

Immediately following the movie at 6:30 PM, we will hold the Awards Ceremony. George Hamilton will be receiving a Career Achievement Award, our own Patty and Hank Hornsveld will be honored with our First Annual Patron of the Performing Arts Award and the winning films from this year's festival will be announced.

Our Gala After-Awards Party starts at 7:30 in the lobby of the UltraStar Cinemas, with food from our hosts Pala Mesa Resort, Trupiano's Bistro, Sourdough Pizza, Estrella's Family Restaurant, Fresco Grill, Peking Wok and Major Market. We will have wines from Orizaba Winery in Fallbrook and Lone Madrone Winery in Paso Robles. And to top it off, gorgeous desserts from Elegance On Display. Last year's party was one to remember... and this one should be even better!

Because our theater only holds 180, we must give first seating preference to those holding VIP passes. However, additional tickets will be available from the box office if seating allows.
